Our Pastors: Milton & Alma Equihua

Milton and Alma Equihua love people. If you didn't know this already, then it's likely that a single trip with them to El Bordo would convince you. The bi-weekly HCR Saturday outreach to that area gives our volunteers an opportunity to minister spiritually and materially to hundreds of homeless deported men and women. The type of heart God has given Milton and Alma—one that fervently desires to serve—becomes obvious to all who see them in action.
Facilities Coordinator: Roque Cervantes

Roque (that's Roh-ke, NOT Rock-ee) is first and foremost a family man, with a beautiful wife and two equally gorgeous kids. As the head of the HCR team of ushers, Roque is intimately involved in every Hope Chapel Rosarito gathering. He and his crew help folks find a place to sit, watch over our vehicles and take care of all other ushering tasks. We'd be nowhere without Roque's band of buddies. As you'll see, Roque loves his job.

Our Founders: Don & Sandy Godwin

In August 2008, newly appointed Foursquare missionaries Don and Sandy Godwin brought their three teenage daughters to Mexico. Their assignment was to plant a church for the English-speaking people of northern Baja.
Don grew up in Panama, moving back to the States after high school. Prior to pastoring, he held a wide variety of secular and ministry positions. As a teacher, Don’s desire is to help people apply the Bible to their life. Sandy’s years of experience as a successful mom and businesswoman, along with the calling God has placed on her life, uniquely qualify her as a teacher, minister and organizer of great value here at HCR. Her love for God and His people are evident everywhere she goes.
